The Writing Was On The Wall For Megyn Kelly The Moment Trump Was Elected

The 2016 election was as much about Donald Trump vs. Megyn Kelly as it was about Donald Trump vs. Hillary Clinton.

From the moment Kelly dared to question Trump about his treatment of women at the first GOP debate in August 2015, Trump supporters declared her public enemy number one.

Would Fox News Channel be the network of Megyn Kelly or would Fox News Channel be the network of Sean Hannity?

Remember Trump TV? Had Hillary won, Trump would have launched his own network and taken Hannity, O'Reilly, Tucker Carlson and at least 40% of The Five with him. But from the moment Trump won on the early morning of November 9th, Megyn Kelly's days at FNC were numbered. FNC now worships at the altar of Trump and there is no room for dissent of any sort.

Megyn Kelly is making her way to NBC proud as a peacock where she will host a daytime talk show, a Sunday night news program and participate in the network's political programming and other major events. Honestly, the loss is entirely FNC's. They are becoming unwatchable. Aside from Kelly, the only thing worth watching Special Report with Bret Baier and even they have begun to fetch pails for Trump. I believe they will soon be underwater all the while insisting they are bone dry.

Kelly's last appearance on FNC will be this Friday. All things must come to an end. But for Megyn Kelly, this is the start of something new. If nothing else, people will now have a reason to watch NBC news programming.

  1. There are a number of Trump cheerleaders at Fox, but they are mostly male!

I guess Kelly just wouldn't fit in with that chorus line.
