Alternative Facts is a Fitting Motto for The Trump White House

It was bizarre enough to see White House Press Secretary Scott Spicer blast the media about its reporting on the size of the crowd at President Trump's inauguration. Kellyanne Conway added another dimension of weirdness in a defensive interview with Chuck Todd of Meet the Press when she claimed that Spicer was presenting "alternative facts." The interview has to be seen to be believed.

I realize that all administrations have spin and present alternative versions of reality. The Obama Administration did this with "man-caused disasters", "creating or saving jobs", "overseas contingency operations", "workplace violence",  "if you like your health insurance, you can keep it" and "red lines" in Syria.

But what Conway is doing is telling us that 2+2=5. She is also telling us is if that the media doesn't say 2+2=5 they will be held accountable. That the Trump Administration admires Vladimir Putin is bad enough. It now looks like they wish to emulate him.

"Alternative facts" is a fitting motto for the Trump White House.
