Little Donald: My Dad Can't Release His Tax Returns Because People Would Ask Questions

Donald Trump, Jr. (heretofore referred to as Little Donald) has said his father cannot release his tax returns because people would ask questions. Little Donald told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review yesterday:

Because he's got a 12,000-page tax return that would create … financial auditors out of every person in the country asking questions that would detract from (his father's) main message.

That's right, Little Donald. People would ask questions. How much is Trump really worth? Why does he give so little to charity? Is he doing business with Russia or Iran?

This is what people do in a free & democratic society. And yes it would detract from his father's main message because people could decide for themselves whether his message is worth the paper on which his tax returns are printed.

Mind you, let's remember that Trump insisted on seeing Mike Pence's tax returns and those of his other prospective VP running mates. Not surprisingly, Trump holds others to standards to which he won't hold himself.

This is also reflective of the feeling of entitlement in the Trump family. In their business dealings, they are answerable to no one and expect the same in the White House.

It doesn't work that way. At least it shouldn't.
