While I'm sure former President George H.W. Bush didn't appreciate Kathleen Kennedy Townsend blabbing that he's going to vote for Hillary Clinton, can anyone really be surprised?
Did anyone honestly expect Bush the Elder to support Trump?
Trump certainly did nothing to endear himself to Bush even after Jeb dropped out of the race.
Surely his absence at the Republican National Convention was a telltale sign.
Why would Bush support a man who not only personally insulted Jeb, but insulted his wife Columba?
Why would Bush support a man who claimed that George W. Bush not only lied about WMDs but claimed he had advanced knowledge about 9/11?
Why would Bush, a war hero, support a man who has gone out of his way to demean others who have served this country heroically?
Why would Bush support a man who has sacrificed nothing?
Of course, the big news is that Bush would actually vote for Hillary. After all, Jeb stated back in July he won't vote for either candidate. As usual, W isn't talking. So this is certainly a significant development. For Bush 41, I guess Hillary is the devil he knows.
