Arnold Palmer, R.I.P.

Oh, how I wish this day would end.

First, Jose Fernandez's life ends at the age of 24. Now Arnold Palmer is gone at 87.

Yes, Arnold Palmer lived a full life. But it doesn't make his passing any less sad.

What can one say of Arnold Palmer's career? He put golf on the map in the 1950's and 1960's.

He won 95 tournaments including 7 Majors including four Masters, two Open titles & U.S. Open.

His first professional win came in 1955, his last in 1988.

Palmer was also a successful entrepreneur with golf courses, apparel and also made his name synonymous with iced tea & lemonade.

Above all else, Palmer helped to make golf accessible to the masses by bringing the country club to the city.
