Let me begin by saying that it is entirely up to Israelis when they go to the polls tomorrow to decide whether they want Benjamin Netanyahu to remain as Prime Minister of it they want to change the guard and give Benny Gantz a go.
But I would like to see Bibi re-elected if for no other reason than to piss off Beto O'Rourke as the former Texas Congressman is calling him a racist.
Of course, Beto has been attacking Bibi on the campaign trail for sometime now. Clearly, O'Rourke has calculated that bashing Israel will earn him left-wing street cred. So when in doubt call Bibi a racist. Never mind that Assad gassed thousands of Syrians. The Left doesn't give a shit about Syrians. It's Israel and Jews that get under their dander. Jews are to Democrats what Mexicans are to Republicans. I wouldn't expect anything less of someone who likens climate change activists to those who sacrificed their lives on D-Day.
By all means let Beto continue attacking Bibi. Should Beto somehow be elected President then he is going to be in the awkward position of having to working with Bibi. If U.S.-Israeli relations deteriorate then Beto will have only himself to blame for his own stupidity. Beto is causing a traffic accident and when it happens there's every reason to believe he will leave the scene of the crime leaving others to clean up his mess.
