Congressman Seth Moulton is the but the latest Democrat to enter the 2020 presidential campaign. Notwithstanding his four tours of duty in Iraq, Moulton is perceived as yet "another white male" a la fellow Congressman Tim Ryan.
The biggest thing Moulton, who was first elected to Massachusetts' 6th District in 2014, has working against him is his ill-fated attempted to oust Nancy Pelosi from the House leadership. Given her success in dealing with President Trump in the partial government shutdown, this challenge will not help his cause. It also doesn't help to be running in the same year that Elizabeth Warren particularly when she has now found her cause in leading the charge for President Trump's impeachment.
I suppose Moulton could be VP material for certain candidates (i.e. Kamala Harris). But the best Moulton can hope for is to be appointed Secretary of Defense in a Democratic administration. If Trump is re-elected, however, perhaps he will set his sights on the Massachusetts gubernatorial race in 2022. But barring multiple miracles, Moulton's 2020 presidential bid is dead on arrival.
