Trump Says He's "Learned a Lot About COVID" & Then Breaks COVID Isolation By Briefly Leaving Walter Reed

This afternoon, President Trump put out another Twitter video from Walter Reed Hospital. He didn't discuss his present condition during his third day in the hospital after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms. Instead, he spoke about meeting soldiers at Walter Reed while claiming he's "learned a lot about COVID".

Trump demonstrated what he "learned" by promptly violating COVID protocols when he broke his isolation and briefly left the Walter Reed campus to get inside an airtight van to wave to his supporters gathered outside. In so doing, Trump has recklessly put the lives of not only the Secret Service personnel in the van (who will have to quarantine for 14 days - assuming Trump doesn't prevent them from doing so), Walter Reed Medical personnel and other patients. For that matter, he's also risking lives when he's meeting with soldiers at Walter Reed. It makes one wonder how many soldiers Trump has met while he is supposed to be in isolation.

This is not a man who has "learned a lot about COVID". Indeed, he ought to have learned a lot about COVID in January. Based on his tape recorded conversations with Bob Woodward, Trump did learn a lot about COVID-19 but chose to put his own welfare above that of the American people. As of this writing, nearly 210,000 Americans (209,807 as of this writing) have lost their lives to COVID-19. Now that Trump has COVID-19 and is at risk because of it, he is still putting his own welfare above that of the American people. Sadly, this should come as a surprise to no one.

In which case, the only appropriate treatment is for the American people to vote for Joe Biden.
