U.S. Adds More Than 54,000 COVID-19 Cases Today

In case anyone thinks the United States has a handle on COVID-19 today we added more than 54,000 cases (54,357) as we near 2.7 million cases overall.

While most of the world's COVID-19 cases are receding we are at Brazil's level of daily infections.

Texas has finally mandated mask wearing, but the damage has been done. Where would we be if Texas had mandated mask wearing instead of reopening two months ago?

One of the few places in the United States worse off than Texas with regard to COVID-19 is Arizona. Yet Arizona Republican Congressman Andy Biggs is calling for the White House Coronavirus Task Force to be disbanded because he claims they make President Trump look bad. So what the Biggs idea? Given the rate at which his constituents are being infected and dying being worried about how bad President Trump looks should be the least of Biggs' concerns.

I wonder how many cases we can expect tomorrow while Trump presides over early Fourth of July celebrations at Mount Rushmore without masks and social distancing. God help America.
