Duckworth Doesn't Hate America...But Ilhan Omar Does

Earlier today I took issue with Tucker Carlson's assertion that Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth hates America.

But there are some people who do hate America and I would put Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar in this category. This afternoon, while outside the Minnesota Legislature in St. Paul, Omar called for "the whole system of oppression" in America to be "dismantled" including the "economic and political systems".:

We must recognize that these systems of oppression are linked. As long as our economy and political systems prioritizes profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequity. So we cannot stop at criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it.

So if Omar believes the police and the criminal courts are part of a system of oppression does she believe the same of Congress, the Appellate Courts, the Office of the President of the United States and even the right to vote? If so then how are these systems to be dismantled? Will these systems face the same fate as Minneapolis' 3rd precinct?

Unlike Duckworth, you won't see any outrage from Omar about Russia paying bounties to the Taliban to kill American soldiers in Afghanistan. After all, American soldiers went to Afghanistan after 9/11 which was in Omar's view, "Some people did something."

I reject the view of President Trump and his supporters that anyone who opposes him hates America. But there are some people who oppose Trump who do hate America and I shall treat them with the same kind of derision I wield against Trump and his supporters. Ilhan Omar is near the top of that list.
