Biden: Democrats Who Call Israel an Apartheid State Are "Wrong", "Making a Mistake"

During his state visit to Israel, President Biden was interviewed by Yonit Levi of N12 News. When Levi asked Biden about Democrats who characterize Israel an apartheid state, Biden rebuked them:
There are few of them. I think they’re wrong. I think they’re making a mistake. Israel is a democracy. Israel is our ally. Israel is a friend, and I think that I make no apologies.

I think it would have been nice if Biden had elaborated and pointed out that Mansour Abbas, a Palestinian Arab and his Ra'am Party, are critical part of the current government. It would have also been nice had Biden condemned anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party especially coming from The Squad because there's no mistaking their intentions. I also fear the ranks of Democrats who view Israel as an apartheid state will grow with every passing year. Nevertheless, it was good to see Biden definitively and unambiguously state those who hold the view that Israel is an apartheid state are wrong. It is several steps in the right direction.

I'm sure this will make so-called progressives even more determined to challenge him or at least pressure him not to run in 2024. But let them be mad. The alternative is Donald Trump and authoritarianism. They ought to be careful for what they wish.
