Yesterday, Detroit Police released the suspect who had been arrested on Wednesday in connection with last month's murder of Samantha Woll, the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue.
Under Michigan law, a suspect cannot be held for more than 72 hours without being charged. The suspect was not identified at the time of arrest. The only clue which is known about the suspect's identity is that he is evidently a congregant at Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue.
With that said, if there is insufficient evidence to hold this suspect, then why was an arrest made in the first place?
All of this gives the appearance that Detroit Police and prosecutors in Wayne County aren't on the same page. Needless to say, it does not inspire confidence.
