Trump's Only Path to the White House is Through The Courts

A little over 24 hours ago, I wrote about Joe Biden's narrow path to the White House

In that 24 hours, Biden has re-erected two thirds of the Big Blue Wall winning Michigan and Wisconsin. He has also gained Nebraska's second congressional district.

Both FOX and the Associated Press called Arizona for Biden, but MSNBC has held off as it appears Trump has closed the gap in the Grand Canyon state. But Biden has closed the gap here in Georgia.

The results are still up in the air in Pennsylvania, Nevada, North Carolina and Alaska.

What has changed in the past 24 hours is that Trump's only path to retaining the White House is through the courts as evidenced by lawsuits the Trump campaign has filed in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia while threatening to invoke a recall challenge in Wisconsin although even reliable Trump allies like former Governor Scott Walker has thrown cold water on the idea. Trump supporters have shown at election return offices in Detroit and Maricopa County demanding the vote count be ceased. For his part, Trump has said for months up to and including last night this election will be decided in the Supreme Court. The behavior of President Trump and his supporters indicate they only believe they will prevail through an act of judicial activism instead of the will of the people.

If a week in politics is a lifetime, the past 24 hours have been an eternity. The next 24 hours is likely to be an infinity. Breathe deep folks.
