A short time ago, I read that actor/singer Ed Ames had passed away on May 21st at the age of 95.
A native of Malden, Massachusetts, Ames was part of The Ames Brothers as a singer and would later play Mingo, an American Indian on the TV series Daniel Boone. However, Ames will be best remembered for an appearance he made on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1965 when he demonstrated his tomahawk throw which he had mastered during his time on Daniel Boone.
