The Boston Celtics fell short in their bid to become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a playoff series losing 103-84 to the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Celtics appeared dead in the water but took the Heat to the brink highlighted by Derrick White's buzzer-beater in Game 6. A win tonight would have been reminiscent of the Boston Red Sox coming back from 3-0 deficit in the 2004 ALCS before going on to win their first World Series title in 86 years.
Alas, the Heat are going to play in their 7th NBA Final, seeking their fourth title against the Denver Nuggets who are in their very first NBA Final. All I can say now is, "Go Nuggets!!!"
