Any American Who Tells a Judge in Court That They Have Their Own Agenda Would Be Jailed....Except Trump

Defeated, former President Donald Trump was granted the unusual request of making a closing argument in his New York civil fraud trial.

Trump wasted no time in personally attacking the presiding judge Arthur Engoron claiming, "I know this is boring to you. I know you have your own agenda.”

Had any other American spoken to a judge in that manner that person, be it a defendant, an attorney, witness or spectator, would be held in contempt of court and taken to jail. For all of Trump's claims of persecution, he has been given the kind of latitude available to no other American.

So long as Trump is bestowed with this sort of treatment then one is sending the message the law does not apply to him. Indeed, in his D.C. trial concerning his actions on January 6th, Trump is arguing that his tenure in the White House renders him immune from prosecution of any kind up to and including having his political opponents killed

Being a President, even a former President, does not give one the right to excoriate a judge in open court.

Let's stop treating Trump as if he's special.
