During a speech before the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas on Saturday, former Vice-President Mike Pence formally ended his White House bid.
Republicans were never going to forgive the man who did what he supposed to do on January 6, 2021. This lack of forgiveness was evident as he struggled to raise cash ending up deeply in debt. Despite January 6th, Pence never truly had the heart to criticize defeated, former President Trump. As I argued shortly before he entered the race back in June, he is and always shall be a quisling and will back Trump. The fact that he was among the Republican aspirants who raised their hand during the first GOP presidential debate indicating they would support Trump's third White House bid even if he is a convicted criminal demonstrated he is a man without a conviction and a deeply religious man who didn't have a prayer.
The only question now is how long before he will endorse Trump and grovel before him.
