Actor Richard Moll, best known for his portrayal of Bull Shannon on Night Court from 1984 to 1992, passed away on October 26th. No cause of death has been released. Moll was 80.
At 6 feet, 8 inches, Moll stood out both literally and figuratively. Some of his early TV work included appearances in Welcome Back, Kotter, The Rockford Files, Bucks Rogers in the 25th Century, Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley before finding fame on Night Court as the imposing yet gentle bailiff Bull Shannon.
Much of Moll's post-Night Court work was voice acting most notably as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in various Batman animated series. Moll was not involved in the reboot of Night Court earlier this year. Back in 2013, when a reporter from TMZ asked Moll if a Night Court reunion was possible, he said bluntly, "I would run in the other direction." When pressed further, Moll replied, "I love show business. It's the people that I can't stand." Well, as Bull Shannon would have said, "Ooooooook!!!" R.I.P.
