Death Toll in Lewiston, Maine Revised to 18; Suspect Remains at Large

The death toll in last night's mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine has been revised from 22 dead and 50 to 60 injured to 18 dead and 13 injured

Notwithstanding the revision, this remains the worst mass shooting in Maine's history and also the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. this year

As of this writing, the suspect remains at large. Robert Card is a U.S. army reservist whose mental health declined in recent months. His social media history includes commentary about President Biden and other Democratic Party officials, gun rights and the LGBTQ persons. However, it remains to be seen what, if anything, his political views might have played in his actions. At this point, the priority is for the authorities to capture Card, preferably alive.
