New England Expected To Be Hit With Its First Hurricane in 30 Years

As if we didn't have enough problems with COVID, Hurricane Henri is expected to hit New England on Sunday. Should it do so it will be the first time a hurricane has hit in this part of the country in 30 years. In August 1991, Hurricane Bob cost over a $1.5 billion in damage and cost 17 lives.

Henri is expected to do its greatest damage on the Cape, Rhode Island and in Connecticut. But even the Hamptons on Long Island is vulnerable. It appears Boston might not be hit as hard but there will be plenty of rain. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is urging people to stay at home on Sunday with the MBTA curtailing service

All of which means a one day weekend. So get your frolicking and fashioning done on Saturday because there will be no fun to be had on Sunday.
