Georgia Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene made some headlines when she declared during a radio interview yesterday in which she said that House Republicans don't deserve to be re-elected.
But what stood out to me was when she implored voters “to elect President Trump in order to control the federal government, in order to take back all of these huge agencies and departments and set the course right.”
The President of the United States, no matter who he or she is, is elected to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, not control the federal government.
A President who sees fit to control the federal government is a dictator.
Of course, this is exactly what MTG and MAGA want where it concerns Donald Trump.
Naturally, MTG would not want Kamala Harris to have such powers. I have no doubt that if Harris becomes the next President, she will introduce articles of impeachment the day after she is sworn in just as she did with President Biden.
But nothing MTG says or does will make her the apple of Trump's eye quite like Laura Loomer.
