In an interview with the crew at MSNBC's Morning Joe, former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saw fit to defend defeated, former President Trump from accusations of anti-Semitism. He did so on the grounds that Trump's daughter Ivanka converted to Judaism and his grandchildren are Jewish. Well, it is entirely possible to have Jewish relatives and yet still be anti-Semitic and Bibi knows it.
Let's keep in mind that Trump went ballistic on Netanyahu for congratulating Joe Biden on his election victory claiming that Bibi was ungrateful to him. For this Trump said of Netanyahu, "Fuck him!!!"
Let us also keep in mind that when Trump says he could easily be elected Prime Minister of Israel, he's taking a shot at Bibi.
So why is Bibi acting like Ted Cruz or J.D. Vance with regard to Trump and kissing his ass?
Of course, Israelis go to the polls on November 1st and Bibi is calculating that Israelis still support Trump notwithstanding his admonition of American Jews and wants that support to rub off on him. But Bibi is already the longest serving Prime Minister in Israeli history. He didn't need Trump then. So why should he need him now?
When it comes loyalty, for Trump not only is it a one way street but a cul-de-sac. It's bad enough that Republicans see fit to emasculate themselves with Trump to curry his favor, but that a former foreign head of state feels the need to do is just pathetic.
