Newly sworn in Michigan Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib, the first Muslim and Palestinian woman elected to the House of Representatives has raised the ire of Republicans after proclaiming Democrats were going to "impeach the motherfucker" while addressing a MoveOn.org gathering. The motherfucker in question is, of course, President Trump.
One can be critical of her lack of decorum, but Republicans shouldn't throw rocks at glass houses. They cheer when their Dear Leader uses obscenities.
In the case of Tlaib, however, the real obscenity is her anti-Semitism. In an interview last month, Tlaib stated, “I personally support the BDS movement,” and went on to say added that economic boycotts are a way to bring “issues like the racism and the international human rights violations by Israel right now.” Tlaib is also planning to lead a Congressional delegation to the West Bank.
Like most pro-Palestinian entities, BDS engages in thinly veiled anti-Semitism as it has targeted non-Israelis such as reggae artist Matisyahu.
In her Congressional office hangs a map of Israel which is replaced with the word Palestine. She has clamored for the release of Rasmea Odeh, a woman responsible for killing two Jews in a Jerusalem supermarket bombing in 1969. When someone like Women's March leader Linda Sarsour, an ardent admirer of Louis Farrakhan, considers Tlaib "a mentor" it is safe to say that Tlaib mentored Sarsour in anti-Semitism. Now that she is in Congress, Tlaib will undoubtedly mentor more people into subscribing to anti-Semitism. That is an obscenity.
