Film and TV composer, arranger and pianist Billy Goldenberg passed away on Monday. No cause of death has been released. He was 84.
Goldenberg scored numerous TV shows such as Kojak, Alias Smith & Jones, Banacek, Harry O, Rhoda and Our House also scored several episodes of Columbo (as seen in the video above). He also collaborated with the likes of Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross and Elvis Presley serving as the musical director for Presley's 1968 Comeback Special on NBC. During the 1970's, Goldenberg won two Emmys for the CBS miniseries Benjamin Franklin as well as the NBC miniseries King.
