Although there have been tensions brewing for months, the first shot in the MAGA Civil War has been fired after it was announced today that the House Freedom Caucus has expelled Marjorie Taylor-Greene.
The House Freedom Caucus has been furious with Greene for months for her backing of Kevin McCarthy for House Speaker and subsequently voting in favor of the debt ceiling deal. But the straw which broke the camel's back was when Greene called Lauren Boebert "a little bitch" last month on the floor of Congress for attempting to introduce articles of impeachment against President Biden when she wanted to do it first.
I say let the MAGA Civil War go on. Because every second MAGA forces fight each other demonstrates their disinterest, immaturity and unseriousness in seeking their own glory through embracing light and transient causes instead of governing for the benefit of as many Americans as possible. And every second MAGA spends fighting each other is a second not spent fighting President Biden with frivolous investigations and impeachment resolutions.
With that, I hope both sides of the MAGA Civil War lose.
