Elizabeth Warren Should Be Sorry For a Lot More Than a DNA Test

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren issued an apology to the Cherokee Nation for taking a DNA test to prove her claims of Native American ancestry. The tests determined she was somewhere between 1/64th and 1/1024th Native American.

The apology comes days before Warren is expected to formally enter the 2020 Democratic presidential field. Warren formed an exploratory committee in late December 2018 shortly after winning a second term to the Senate.

But I think Warren should be sorry for a lot more than a DNA test. She has misrepresented herself as a Native American on the basis that her maternal grandfather "had high cheek bones like all of the Indians do." Harvard University can claim all it wants that they didn't hire Warren on the basis of ethnicity, but this didn't stop Warren from identifying herself as "Native American or Alaskan Native" while she taught at the University of Pennsylvania nor did it stop Harvard from boasting about Warren's "Native American" heritage.

Simply put Elizabeth Warren is a phony. She might not lie with the same propensity as President Trump, but to tell one lie over and over again is every bit as bad and is demonstrative of a lack of good character. As such if the 2020 race comes down to a choice between Trump and Warren, I shall choose neither.
