The U.S. Tops 14 Million COVID-19 Cases with More Than 275K Dead Among 1.5 Million Worldwide

The United States has now crossed the 14 million mark where it concerns COVID-19 cases.

Check that!!! Make that 14.1 million cases. According to Johns Hopkins University, 14,102,568 Americans have been afflicted with COVID-19. True to recent form it only took six days to add a million more cases. But with COVID-19 cases now topping 200,000 a day we will probably get from 14 to 15 million cases in only five days. A lot of the next million infections are going to need hospitalization and we are running out of both beds and staff with more than 100,000 Americans currently hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Most sobering of all is the death toll in the U.S. has now topped 275,000 (275,729). The U.S. death toll represents 18.3% of all COVID-19 deaths which have now climbed above 1.5 million (1,503,107).

There remain four weeks left in this awful year of 2020 and we know more disease and death is coming. Brace yourselves.
