Last week, Elon Musk took time out of busy schedule hollowing out the federal government to retweet the following:
Stalin, Mao, and Hitler didn’t murder millions of people. Their public sector employees did.
So, Musk endorses the absurd view that "public servants" in the former Soviet Union, China and Nazi Germany unilaterally established gulags, labor camps and concentration camps independently of Stalin, Mao and Hitler.
In so doing, Musk once again saw fit to endorse a view which absolves Hitler of any responsibility for the Final Solution just as he did last September when he spotlighted Tucker Carlson's conversation with Holocaust denier Darryl Cooper who claimed Jews just happened to show up at concentration camps. For his part, Musk claimed their interview was, "Very interesting. Worth watching."
Curiously, in defending Musk from charges of embracing Nazism, NRO's Rich Lowry failed to mention these incidents. Then again what should I expect of someone who denies using the N-word against migrants in Springfield, Ohio when it is exactly what he said of them.
As for Musk, this is but his latest expulsion of the stench of anti-Semitism with a touch of apologia for the worst mass murderers in human history.
So long as Musk retains a prestigious and prominent place in the Trump White House, President Trump's claims of not tolerating anti-Semitism with their attempted deportation of Mahmoud Khalil simply ring hollow.
The sad truth is this will be far from the last time Musk makes excuses for Hitler.
