Voters Have a Trump-Musk Disconnect

It appears voters don’t care for Elon Musk having access to our personal information, the U.S. Treasury payment system and being able to unilaterally dismantle government agencies like USAID.

In a recent Quinnipiac poll saw Musk with a disapproval rating of 53% versus an approval rating of 37%. Yet President Trump enjoys an approval rating of 46% versus a 43% disapproval rating.

Yet the only reason Musk has so much access is because we elected Trump and Trump gave him DOGE. This simply would not have happened had we elected Kamala Harris.

So why are there a significant percentage of voters who disapprove of Musk but don’t disapprove of Trump even though Musk would not be doing what he has done without Trump’s blessing?

We have a disconnect and a way must be found to hang Musk around Trump’s neck like an albatross and pierce his Teflon. Otherwise, Trump’s Teflon will only get stronger to the point that it is unbreakable.
