The Decades of Damage Trump Has Done in a Month

President Trump has been back in the White House for a month. In that month, he has done decades worth of damage.

The damage has been done by appointing manifestly unqualified people to major cabinet posts (i.e. Robert Kennedy, Jr., Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Hegseth and Kash Patel) dismantling our public institutions (with a lot of help of Elon Musk and DOGE), jettisoning our alliances, openly engaging in corruption and involving itself in matters not within their purview. The damage has been facilitated by a Congress that has abdicated its role as a co-equal branch of government as exemplified by Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy who said “call somebody who cares.” The judiciary has been a small bulwark but Trump, Musk and Vance have all signaled the court has no authority over the constitutionality of its decisions.

Some of the most egregious acts include the pardon of January 6th convicts, arbitrarily shuttering federal agencies such as USAID, the National Archives and The Kennedy Center, blaming Ukraine for a war it did not start, threatening to annex Canada as the 51st state and planning to develop Trump properties in Gaza.

I realize this merely scratches the surface. It is much worse. I can only begin to imagine how much worse it will be in another month from now.
