Hamas continues its cruelty amid the ongoing release of hostages as the first phase of the ceasefire deal draws to a close.
The terrorist organization forced two Israeli hostages, Evyatar David and Guy Gilboa-Dalal to watch the release of three of their fellow hostages yesterday - Omer Shem Tov, Eliya Cohen and Omer Wenkert - from a van near the stage.
This act of cruelty as well as Hamas not handing over the body of Shiri Bibas with her slain children has prompted Israel to withhold the release of 600 so-called Palestinian prisoners.
Then again if Hamas is prepared to slaughter infants and toddlers and withhold their mother's body can we really be surprised that Hamas would make hostages watch the release of other hostages?
It is also worth remembering that three additional hostages were also released yesterday - Tal Shoham, Avera Mengistu and Hisham Al-Sayed. Mengistu and Al-Sayed had been held in captivity by Hamas since 2014 and 2015, respectively.
Yet the international focus on Israel delaying the release of Palestinian prisoners not on Hamas making current hostages watch the release of former hostages, killing infants and toddlers while withholding their mother's body. The international community treats these "Palestinian prisoners" like innocent victims rather than terrorists who murdered innocent civilians.
As usual, we seem determined to focus on the wrong thing.
