Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has written a letter to FBI Director James Comey claiming his decision to re-open the investigation of Hillary Clinton's e-mails could violate federal law.
Reid claims that Comey is violating the Hatch Act stating that the investigation is influencing the outcome of the election.
Funny, but I don't recall Reid claiming that Comey's decision to not to pursue charges against Hillary in July constituted influencing the outcome of the election.
Let me put it another way. If Comey had announced he was opening an investigation into Donald Trump I doubt Reid would be accusing Comey of violating the law.
Harry Reid is pulling a Romney. Let's not forget that during the 2012 election, Reid claimed that Romney hadn't paid income taxes in 10 years stating such an action would be a felony.
Reid, of course, lied about the allegation. But he's proud of the lie. As Reid told Dana Bash last year, "Romney didn't win, did he?"
Harry Reid's mission in 2012 was Barack Obama's re-election. This year, his mission is Hillary Clinton's ascension to the White House. Under the circumstances, if Harry Reid wasn't telling the truth about Mitt Romney in 2012 why should we believe he's telling the truth about James Comey in 2016?
