With the threat of the invocation of the 25th Amendment or a second impeachment, Donald Trump finally acknowledge that he lost the 2020 election.
It took only two months, 62 lawsuits and five deaths (including a Capitol Police Officer) for Trump to finally agree to concede.
While slightly more self-contained than usual, Trump remained dishonest and self-serving claiming to abhor "the violence, lawlessness and mayhem" which he caused and reveled in. Trump falsely claimed he sent in the National Guard to restore order when it was Vice-President Pence who did so. The Trump Administration also thwarted efforts of Maryland Governor Larry Hogan to send in the National Guard.
He also falsely claimed, "My only goal was to ensure the integrity of the vote. In so doing I was fighting to defend American democracy." Five days ago, Trump demanded Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger find 11,780 votes for him and overturn the election.
While Trump only has 13 days left in office he has blood on his hands and should not be in office a minute longer.
Besides who can say that Trump wouldn't unconcede tomorrow?
