The Jays score 9 runs during the 6th inning. The Milwaukee Brewers only scored 4 runs against the Dodgers in the NLCS.
Entering the bottom of the sixth inning, the game was tied 2-2. Ernie Clement gave the Jays a 3-2 lead on a single. A bases loaded walk to Nathan Lukes made it 4-2. Andrés Gimenéz singled to extend the lead to 5-2.
Then the dam burst when Addison Barger got a pinch-hit grand slam HR to make it 9-2. It was the first pinch-hit grand slam HR in World Series history. Catcher Alejandro Kirk put icing on the cake with a 2-run HR of his own to make it 11-2.
Shohei Ohtani did hit a 2-run HR in the 7th to make it 11-4, but the damage had been done to the Dodgers, and they were done for the night.
Now it remains to be seen if Game 1 sets the tone for the Series or if the Dodgers will regroup and rebound in Game 2 tomorrow night. But one thing is for damn sure. No one is underestimating the Blue Jays now.
